NBA legend Gary Payton recently revealed what happened off the court including some gross, behind-the-scene details about his former teammate, Shaquille O'Neil.

In an interview with VladTV, the 1996 NBA Defensive Player of the Year shared that Shaq was quite the "jokester" when they played together on the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat.

"We always used to play jokes," Payton says in the video clip currently making its rounds on social media. "Shaq is a jokester. So if one of the rookies would be in the stall, he would take a bucket and use the bathroom in it for about a week. And then all of a sudden he would pour it on them."

Payton didn't go into specifics about what was in the bucket, but either way one can only imagine what it felt like on the other side of that bucket.

The Oakland native also revealed an instance when he pulled a prank on Shaq –– and how it's now a part of his home decor. As Payton told it, he stole Shaq's underwear one night and had the pair framed and still owns them.

During the prank, Payton said he also did something to Shaq's pants, forcing him to be "free-balling" with a towel in his truck.
"He'd get in his truck, and ride around and then he would throw the towel out and then he'd be free-balling," Payton said, adding, "so I used to keep all the shorts pairs of drawers and all that stuff."
