Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban made an uplifting post on Election Day (November 3). Cuban shared pictures of Delonte West at a recovery center on Twitter, according to Complex. The former NBA guard can be seen playing frisbee with other people at the facility and even kayaking.
"Because we all want something to feel great about today, here is your Delonte West update," Cuban wrote in a tweet with photos. "It's still an uphill battle, but he is climbing!"
West struggled with substance abuse for some years, but he hit rock bottom in September. Reports say he was spotted near a Dallas highway asking for help. Cuban later located the 37-year-old player at a gas station and helped him get into a recovery center.
"I can just confirm that I found him and helped him," Cuban told The Washington Post at the time. "The rest is up to Delonte and his family to tell." According to TMZ, Cuban and West's mother was able to convince West to enter rehab. The Mavericks Owner even offered to pay for West's recovery. Cuabn's intervention seems to be paying off for West as he works towards sobriety.
