“It. Don’t. Move.”
When Tessica Brown ran out of her usual hair spray, she chose to improvise, but wasn’t expecting to be stuck in her current situation.
To finish off her slick back ponytail style, Tessica says she decided to use Gorilla Glue Spray, which has left her with the same style for a month now.
In her now-viral videos on TikTok, Brown, whose account name is @Im_D_Ollady, says she’s tried washing it out over a dozen times in the span of several weeks to no avail.
“Hey y’all. For those of you that know me know that my hair has been like this for about a month now. It’s not by choice. No, it’s not by choice,” Brown starts one of the videos. “When I do my hair, I like to finish it off with Göt2B Glued Spray, so I used this: Gorilla Glue spray. Bad, bad, bad idea.”
To show people that it really is stuck, Tessica ran her fingers over her hair, explaining she’s washed it multiple times, but nothing has worked. In a follow up video, Tessica spreads what appears to be shampoo over her hair, rinses it off, and shows the hair hasn’t moved an inch.
“My hair, it don’t move. You hear what I’m telling you? It. Don’t Move,” she said. “...So I’ma tell y’all like this: If you ever, ever run out of Göt2B Glued Spray, don’t ever use this. Unless you want your hair to be like that forever.”
Tessica’s unusual predicament made its way to Twitter and got Gorilla Glue trending.
The official Gorilla Glue TikTok account even weighed in on Tessica’s situation, suggesting she try using rubbing alcohol, but warned that it’s going to take some time since the style has been in place for so long.
