Meghan Markle Accuses Royal Family Of ‘Perpetuating Falsehoods’ Against Her

In their first sit-down interview since leaving Britain, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sit down with Oprah Winfrey to share their experience while in their royal posts.

A new clip of the exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle accused Buckingham Palace of “perpetuating falsehoods” against her and Prince Harry.

The clip was released on Wednesday (March 3), Winfrey asks the Duchess of Sussex, “How do you feel about the palace hearing you speak your truth today?”

Meghan replies: “I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that the firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.” “And, if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean… there is a lot that has been lost already,” she added.

“The firm” is another term for the royal family.

The couple first announced they’d be taking a step back from their roles in the royal family last January. The couple, now settled in California with a second baby on the way, have endured negative publicity throughout their time as active members of the royal family.

Earlier on Wednesday (March 3), Buckingham Palace announced it was launching an investigation into accusations made by royal aides that Meghan bullied staff members back in 2018.

The full interview with Oprah will air on CBS on Sunday (March 7).
