Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and longtime girlfriend Nessa Diab have officially become first-time partents.
On Sunday (August 28), Diab, 41, shared on Instagram that the pair had quietly welcomed their first child "weeks ago."
"I thought long and hard about sharing our life-changing news today," Diab wrote alongside a picture of her, Kaepernick, and their newborn in a hospital bed.
"I decided to do so because today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title - MOM!" the MTV personality continued. "Colin and I welcomed our amazing baby to the world a few weeks ago, and we are over the moon with our growing family."
Diab noted that Kaepernick "is the most amazing dad," adding, "And I'm soooo grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey."
Diab and Kaepernick have been reportedly dating since 2015.
As she announced the birth of their child, Diab did not disclose the baby's gender and hid the newborn's face from her Instagram photo.
News of the arrival of their baby follows Kaepernick expressing interest in returning to the league this season.
In May, the 34-year-old worked out with the Las Vegas Raiders.
