Snoop Dogg says he has "nothing but love and respect" for former President Donald Trump.
In an interview published on Sunday (January 28), Snoop told the Sunday Times that Trump "ain't done nothing wrong to me."
"He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris," the rapper added.
In the early 90s, Michael Harris, along with Suge Knight and Dr. Dre, co-founded Death Row Records, the record label that signed Snoop for the release of his first album Doggy Style. Harris was among the dozens of individuals who had their prison sentence commuted by Trump in 2021.
"I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump," Snoop Dogg told the Sunday Times.
Snoop's comments about Trump come after the pair's public feud.
In 2017, Snoop Dogg pointed a gun at a clown dressed like Trump in a music video for "Lavender (Nightfall Remix)." Snoop previously detailed his issues with Trump, including the "ban that (he) tried to put up; him winning the presidency; police being able to kill ... and get away with it (and) people being in jail for weed for 20, 30 years."
Trump responded to the music video on social media, saying "Can you imagine what the outcry would be if (Snoop Dogg), failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!"
In a June 2020 interview, Snoop suggested he was going to vote for the first time in the presidential election because he didn't want Trump to be in office any longer.
"I ain't never voted a day in my life, but this year I think I'm going to get out and vote because I can't stand to see this punk in office one more year," Snoop Dogg said at the time.
Snoop declined to confirm whether or not he would vote for Trump, the front-running GOP candidate, in the 2024 presidential election.
"I may have to," Snoop Dogg said. "Because there are mixed views on that, so I want to see what the people say."
