Leighton Meester Finally Addressed Those 'Gossip Girl' Reboot Rumors

Rumors of a Gossip Girl reboot started swirling back in February when Mark Pedowitz, the president of The CW, said there was a chance the popular teen drama would make a comeback. “There’s a discussion, but I don’t know if we’re there yet,” he said at the TV Critics' Association press tour. “I don’t know what it would be. A lot is up to Warner Bros. and [exec producers] Josh [Schwartz] and Steph[anie Savage], ’cause you don’t want to do anything without them.”

While chatting with Leighton Meester (aka Blair Waldorf) and her husband Adam Brody (another alum of The CW) on the set of her new show Single Parents, E! asked her what she thinks of all the reunion whispers. "No one's ever asked me," the 33-year-old actress revealed. "No one's ever talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don't know. No one's sent me that information, it's coming from you."

The reporter then asked Adam if he'd ever be interested in participating in a reboot of The OC, but he brushed off the question. Instead he said the Gossip Girl creators should him Leighton's script for final approval. "They should send it to me, I'll look it over and I'll decide," he joked.

This isn't the first time Leighton has spoken about a potential reunion. Vanity Fair asked her about her interest in revisiting the show that made her a household name. “I guess I hear that [reunion talk] in fits and starts here and there, but it’s hard to say," she said. "If everyone was into it and if the timing was right, you know? I don’t want to say, ‘No, never…’”

What do you think? Would you want to see Gossip Girl return for a reunion series a la Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life?
