Small Business Spotlight: 21 Savage Shines Light On Copper Cove In Atlanta

Jhené Aiko, Kirk Franklin, Roddy Ricch, 21 Savage and several other artists took their talents to iHeartRadio's Living Black virtual stage. While each artist's musical talent was placed on center stage, they also used their platforms to highlight Black-owned businesses around the country. In Atlanta, 21 Savage shined a light on Copper Cove, a popular lounge in Buckhead. From the food to the occasional celebrity sightings, the establishment has cemented itself in the fabric of Atlanta culture.

"On a given night, you might see your favorite quarterback talking [about] politics with a teacher or a young, real-estate tycoon smoking hookah with 21 Savage. It's just that kind of a place," Copper Cove Founder Mr. Rugs said.

"A night at Copper Cove is good food, good music, fun and positivity," 21 Savage added.

Copper Cove seamlessly fits into the culture of Atlanta. In a place where Black educators, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, entertainers, doctors and politicians thrive, the lounge strives to showcase Black excellence in all forms. More importantly, Mr. Rugs strives to create an environment in which all feel welcome and comfortable.

"Copper Cove is the eclectic, Black vibe of the Buckhead area," the Copper cove Founder said.

"It was important for me to create Copper Cove because I wanted an upscale place where the vibe, atmosphere and customer service screamed Black excellence. Hip-Hop has always been an inspiration to me. You'll see the faces of its pioneer on every wall. The goal here was to create a safe space where everyone just feels comfortable."

With the support of everyone from 21 Savage to Biggs Burke of Roc Nation, the Copper Cove brand continues to grow. In the midst of the pandemic, Copper Cove is open for a safe, COVID-19 friendly experience for all those who visit Atlanta.
