Courtney Love Says Kurt Cobain Would’ve Approved Of Song In “Succession”

Nirvana’s controversial 1993 song “Rape Me” soundtracks the peak of the latest episode of “Succession.” Courtney Love has given the HBO drama’s usage of the song her stamp of approval… and she says Kurt Cobain would have, too.

Taking to her Instagram story, Courtney says she’s “never been so proud” of approving the usage of one of Kurt’s songs. She says “Succession” proved they “truly understood” what Kurt was “screaming his heart out” about.

“I was in the room watching (agog) as this song was written in about an hour, and I’ve never been so proud of approving one of Kurt’s songs, she writes. “This cue in @succession is as if they truly understood kc what he was screaming his heart out … without specifics … about. I’m sure wherever he is he’s proud of this.”
