A massive winter storm dumped snow, sleet, and ice, leaving an estimated 100,000 people without power across the country.

According to weather experts, the 2,000-mile storm swept through 25 states from Texas to New England, putting 100 million people under winter weather advisories. In Colorado Springs, 20 inches of snow fell, while parts of Illinois and Indiana saw more than a foot.

"A corridor of heavy ice (rain/freezing rain) accumulation is likely from Texas through the Ohio River Valley, especially from Arkansas northeastward to western Kentucky," the National Weather Service warned Wednesday (February 2).

By Thursday morning (February 3), roughly 40% of flights on the East Coast were canceled, CNN reported, with Dallas-Forth Worth airport shutting down completely. Several major highways and roadways are also impassable, the outlet reported.

'Rounds of Snow' Expected in These Areas

The storm isn't over for several states, with meteorologists predicting additional winter precipitation falling in the following areas:

  • Dallas and Austin, Texas
  • St. Louis, Missouri
  • Memphis, Tennessee
  • Louisville, Kentucky
  • Little Rock, Arkansas
  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • Chicago, Illinois
  • South Bend and Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Buffalo, New York
