"The World Of Barbie" Interactive Experience Coming Summer 2022

Life in Plastic, its fantastic. Barbie fans are going to get the chance to experience a life size Barbie Dream house. As part of a new immersive experience that is celebrating the iconic doll universe.

"The World of Barbie" will make its debut in Toronto this July and make stops all other cities like New York, Dallas and Los Angeles.

Barbie fans are going to get the chance to walk into the world that we would imagine as kids. All of this was made possible by Mattel and entertainment company Kilburn Live who partnered to help bring Barbie's neighborhood to life. Visitors will also get a chance to explore immersive paly sets, like a life size version of Barbie's pink camper van, or lounge on her hammock, bringing our childhood toys to life.

There is going to be plenty of opportunities to get those cute selfies for your social, the attraction will also have curated spaces available for your to snap a pic. Like a pink carpet with giant doll boxes with different themes so guests can snap a flick. This attraction will be transporting guests to Barbie's Malibu dreamhouse.

"The World of Barbie" guests will also get to visit Barbie's Kitchen and modern living room, and no dreamhouse is complete with out a pool. Fans will be able to paly in the outdoor patio and enjoy the view of the fake pool.

What makes "World of Barbie" stand out is that the experience is meant to be enjoyed across generations, says Manuel: "Stepping into Barbie's real life dreamhouse, being transported to Malibu, sitting down in her camper van…there's no age limit to that."
There's also an element of nostalgia in Barbie's real-life neighborhood for grown-up fans. "You also have an older generation who's going to walk through and be brought back to their childhood days," he adds. "World of Barbie" even includes a museum that chronicles Barbie's development over the decades. Julie Freeland, Senior Director of Location-Based Entertainment at Mattel, says that part of the attraction really plays into the universal connection fans have with Barbie.
"I travel all over the world, and people have their own stories of the favorite dreamhouse they had when they were a kid or their favorite doll that they grew up with. And they pass that on to their kids," she tells PEOPLE.

Other attractions coming to Barbie's neighborhood are a TV studio, Space and Fashion center. The purpose of this attraction is meant to explore and cultivate interests.
