Will Smith has revealed a premonition he had pre-Oscars slap that foreshadowed his money, house, and career slipping out of his grasp, Cosmopolitan reports.

On the recently released episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Smith told David Letterman that he had envisioned all aspects of his life being "destroyed" while tripping on psychedelics. The award-winning actor revealed he took ayahuasca, a psychoactive herbal drink with powerful hallucinogenic properties, 14 times over a two-year period.

"Once you drink it you’re going to see yourself in a way you’ve never seen yourself," Smith said describing a psychedelic trip. "One of the experiences was the individual most hellish psychological experience of my life."

During Letterman's interview, Smith added, "I drank, and it usually takes about 45 minutes to kick in. And I’m sitting there and you always feel like, 'Maybe it won’t kick in this time.' So I’m drinking and sitting there and then all of a sudden it’s like I start seeing all of my money flying away, and my house is flying away and my career is going away."

Seeing his accomplishments slip away, the King Richard star said he panicked and tried to "grab" his money and career.

"My whole life is getting destroyed," Smith said describing the premonition. "This is my fear in real life, and I’m in there and I’m wanting to vomit and all of that, and I hear a voice saying: 'This is what the f**k it is. This is what the f**k life is.'"

Smith told Letterman that he began to calm down once he heard his daughter Willow Smith calling for help.

"Then slowly I stopped caring about my money, I just wanted to get to Willow. I stopped caring about my house, I stopped caring about my career," the 53-year-old added.

After the psychedelic trip, Smith said he realized he can handle anything life throws at him.

"I can handle any person I lose, I can handle anything that goes wrong in my life, I can handle anything in my marriage. I can handle anything that this life has to offer me," Smith noted.

News of the actor's premonition comes after the 94th Academy Awards where Smith slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair. As a result, Smith was banned from all Academy events for the next 10 years, and the production and release of some of his upcoming projects have reportedly been delayed.
