The family of a 24-year-old Bronx man is seeking answers after his body was discovered inside a duffel bag left on a Brooklyn sidewalk.

Surveillance footage appears to show two people unloading the bag from a car before leaving the scene, according to ABC7 New York. Joseph Owusu was found Friday morning (October 30) in the Canarsie neighborhood by someone collecting scrap metal, the news outlet reported.

The surveillance video shows a white sedan pulling up to the area before two people take a large black bag from its trunk and leave it behind. The pair then get back into the vehicle and drive away.

Owusu's brother, Kojo Yeboah, told ABC7 that he has repeatedly reviewed the footage but does not recognize either individual.

Yeboah is now calling for accountability, saying his younger brother had his whole life ahead of him.

"I need justice for Joseph. I want the truth to come out, the truth to come out because my brother didn't deserve to die the way he did. He's only 24. He had a lot of living to do," he said.

Owusu's family last heard from him on Tuesday (October 27), according to News 12. They became concerned after they were unable to reach him.

His loved ones are also remembering him for his commitment to his faith and music. Owusu played organ at his Bronx church and was pursuing a computer science degree while working with people with disabilities.

"He loved the church. He loved things of God," Yeboah said.

Police have not publicly identified the two people seen in the surveillance footage.
