Florida Woman Shoots Boyfriend For Snoring Too Loudly

woman arrested for shooting boyfriend for 'snoring too loudly'

Police in Florida say a woman was arrested this week for allegedly shooting her boyfriend because he was snoring too loudly.

Lorie Morin, 47, was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery. According to the Brevard County Sheriff Office, deputies responded to a home on Emerald Lake Drive after reports of a man being shot. When deputies arrived, the man and Morin said the shooting had been accidental.

However, as deputies began investigating the incident, they found the shooting had been sparked by an argument between Morin and the victim, her boyfriend. Morin reportedly shot the victim because he had been snoring too loudly.

The couple had been drinking and gotten into an argument before the shooting, according to the press release from the department. Authorities said Morin grabbed a shotgun and fired at her boyfriend.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he is still recovering from his injury, but is in stable condition.

Morin is being held at the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
