LeBron James Shares First Images From 'Space Jam: A New Legacy'

Los Angeles Lakers v Philadelphia 76ers

It's been 25+ years since we have seen a Space Jam movie hit the big screen. Now, we have a behind-the-scenes look at the film's upcoming sequel, Space Jam: A New Legacy, starring LeBron James.

James posted four shots of the new film on Twitter Thursday (March 4), as part of Entertainment Weekly's first look at the movie.

The follow-up film features James as a heightened version of himself who, along with his character's son Dom, become trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I. played by Don Cheadle. It’s up to James to get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny, and the Toon Squad gang to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before.

Throughout the course of the movie, we are expected to see a lot of cameos from familiar faces in the sports world, including Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Diana Taurasi & several other NBA & WNBA players.

With these behind-the-scenes photos coming out, it seems like only a matter of time before the release of the official trailer.
