As the great Terrell Owens once said, "Get your popcorn ready!" However, football season doesn't start for a few weeks. For the time being, moviegoers should get their popcorn ready because Warner Bros. has finally unveiled the first trailer for Dune and it does not disappoint. Featuring Zendaya of Euphoria, Sharon Duncan-Brewster of Rogue One, Stephen McKinley Henderson of Fences and Babs Olusanmokun of Black Mirror, the trailer packs in all the action that fans can handle in as little as three minutes.

"Feuding royals, a deadly planet and a gifted young man who holds the destiny of everyone in his hands. Born to Duke Leto Atreides and Lady Jessica, Paul inherits stewardship of Arrakis, a dangerous desert wasteland that's home to vigilant natives and melange, the most precious resource in the entire universe," the film's synopsis reads.

"Known to extend life and grant its user with superhuman intellect and faster-than-light speed, they set out on a mining expedition to save what's left from malevolent forces that would do anything to get it. As they face mind-bending realities, raging rebellions, and giant sandworms, the future becomes clear: only those who can conquer fear will survive."

October is shaping up to be an exciting month in theaters. One week after Dune hits theaters, Jonathan Majors is expected to make his major motion picture debut as Kang The Conqueror in Eternals. In addition, Leslie Odom Jr., Daryl Edwards and Sasha Mofraw are expected to appear in the Warner Bros. Pictures project, The Many Saints of Newark. Not to mention, the buzzworthy short film, Baby, from Cole Swanson is on its way to release in October 2021.

Dune will arrive on HBO Max and in theaters on October 22. Until then, fans will have to get by with the trailer.
