Damon Wayans Reveals Who He'd Battle In A Comedy 'Verzuz' Showdown

Damon Wayans already knows who he’d take the stage with it if Timbaland and Swizz Beats create a comedy version of their wildly popular VERZUZ battles.

The In Living Color writer and star recently called out fellow comedy titan Dave Chappelle in a radio interview, challenging him to the hypothetical comedy showdown.

Wayans told the hosts he hasn’t been keeping up with the latest VERZUZ battles ––which offered an iconic New York showdown between The LOX and Dipset –– but he would definitely be interested if a comedy version ever came out.

“Do they do it with comedians?” he asked, and instantly said “Chappelle” after being asked who’d he want to go toe-to-toe with.

“I’m calling him out,” the Major Payne star said jokingly.

Wayans is six years into his retirement from standup comedy, but is reportedly working on a new series alongside My Wife and Kids co-creator Don Reo. As for Chappelle, the comedian recently released his self-titled show on Netflix.

Of course social media weighed in on the hypothetical battle, some predicting who'd win if the two actually got on stage together.
