The family of Danzel Mullins is seeking help in solving his murder after months of not getting any answers.

The 24-year-old father was discovered shot to death in July in southwest Atlanta –– just two miles away from the Atlanta Police Headquarters. Since the tragic discovery, no one has been held accountable and his family has no clue why he might have been targeted.

"It's a nightmare like every day we wake up thinking who did this to him," Mullins' girlfriend, Quin Battle told Fox 5 News.

Mullins' loved ones gathered this week at the place where he died, to bring awareness to his story and what took place there on July 17.

Police believe Mullins was driving in the area when we has fatally shot.

"They don't have any leads. We just need the answers," Mullins' aunt, Chamika said.

Police released doorbell footage shows a suspected vehicle in the case –– a blue Nissan SUV –– creeping up to Mullins' car. In the footage, Mullins backs into a red SUV, his tires squealing, before it comes to a stop. The blue vehicle thens speeds off.

"He's from this community so it was just natural for him to hang over this way. That's what he was doing. He was coming down this street parking. He didn't expect that," Chamika explained.

The family is looking for answers in the case and says there's a $3,500 reward available for information. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
