A Dillard's department store in Dallas has fired a clerk caught in a viral video hurling a racial slur at a Black dad and his 10-year-old son, Black Enterprise reports.

In a video that has garnered millions of views, the father, identified as Muhammad Karim, gracefully confronted a Dillard's employee who called him a “f***ing n****” in front of his son.

The incident began when Karim asked the clerk, who he referred to as Homer, for directions to a dressing room, the father said.

When Karim returned to his son, he found the 10-year-old in tears.

“My 10-year-old son heard you call me ‘a f***ing n*****,’ I want you to know this is unacceptable.” Karim can be heard telling the clerk in the now-viral video.

The father went out to explain to the Dillard's employee why using the racial slur was wrong.

“It’s unacceptable. You shouldn’t do that. You’re too old,” Karim said calmly. “I carry myself with honor. I would never disrespect any human being by calling them outside of their name. You don’t know the impact of what you’ve done to my son. But maybe you were unaware.”

“You disrespected me… and my family,” the father continued. “But I would never do that to your family or even you. …I would never treat anybody that way. But I want you to know man to man, that s**t’s not cool. …Treat human beings with respect, and morals, and values.”

According to Dillard’s, the employee no longer works for the company.

“The allegations made against our former employee were promptly investigated, found to be in clear violation of our standards, and his employment with Dillard’s was immediately terminated,” Dillard’s department store said in a statement.
