Gabrielle Union recently opened up about how she and Dwyane Wade handle their finances, and her comments are going viral.

During an episode of the Black Millionaires podcast, Union said she and the retired NBA star split their bills evenly, per People.

"In this household, we split everything fifty-fifty," she told the show's host.

The actress continued, "But in the other households that each of us have to support, there's always this like, gorilla on your back, that's like, 'You better work, b---, you better work. Oh, you're going to sleep in?' You know, somebody might not eat."

"It's hard. It's hard to let that go. So I'm working on that," Union said.

Union went on to reveal that she still has a "scarcity mindset" with her money stemming from when she started in the industry.

"I struggle with that, still," she said. "I think I just have more responsibilities for my money. I get nervous like, 'Oh God, that movie didn't open you know what does that mean? Do I – Am I … Am I going to have enough to hold everybody up?' "

Union and Wade tied the knot in August 2014. The former NBA star retired from the league after earning roughly $200 million during his time with the Miami Heat, according to reports.

Union has previously spoken out about what makes her relationship with Wade work.

"This is both of our second marriages, and we're super transparent about that," Union previously told People. "We didn't do it right, the first time around. There's another way — to be more collaborative and equitable. We humble ourselves, listen and we meet in the middle."
