Vice President Kamala Harris has revealed the technique she uses to style her perfectly pulled-together silk press.

According to People, Harris recently sat down with Keke Palmer for an episode of her podcast where they discussed the state of U.S. maternal health. During the interview, Palmer also had the chance to ask the VP some light-hearted questions that have been on the minds of many social media users.

“Question number one: How many times a month do you get a silk press?” Keke asked Harris on the "Baby, This is Keke Palmer" podcast.

“So you know, I don’t use a curling iron,” Harris said in response. “It’s too much heat, I use a round brush."

“Now what kind of magical round brush?" the actor quipped. "Your hair must be super fine, Madame VP.”

“No, it’s not,” the vice president said before further explaining the secret to her "silk press" hair. “It takes a while. A boar-bristle… it takes a lot of heat. But it’s too much heat to do that and do [a curling iron.]”

“Girl, you have us shook on the internet,” Palmer responded. “You and Queen Latifah are going neck-and-neck with the silk presses.”

Before revealing her hair secrets, Harris and Palmer delved into the nation's maternal health crisis.

“…How can we be having a maternal health crisis, and then people saying, ‘Have more kids!'" Palmer asked Harris. The vice president replied: “In the top ten states that had the highest rates of maternal mortality, are the same states that have banned abortion."

"So, you look at it," she continued. "And this is where I get quite upset about the hypocrisy because the same people who say on the issue of access to reproductive care and the right of a woman to make decisions about her own body, they’ll say, “Oh, because I care about women and children.” And you’re the same people that are so-called ‘leading’ a place that has some of the highest rates of maternal mortality. So which is it?”
