Will Smith and Pepa have revealed that they once went on a date.

The revelation came as Salt-N-Pepa appeared on Smith's new podcast celebrating hip-hop called “Class of ’88.”

“We went on a date one time. Remember that?” Smith said on the podcast. “Yes, I do… I know exactly what happened,” Pepa said.

The rapper seemed to be hesitant to give more details about the date, but Smith assured her that it was okay to tell the story. “We’re allowed to talk about it! We’ve matured! We ain’t do nothin’," the actor said.

Pepa said Smith took her on a date in 1989 after he and DJ Jazzy Jeff won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance. Smith said the two "went for a drive" in Los Angeles.

“We were out, and then you saw a homeless person, and you gave the homeless person $100, and it was so nice. And then we went to the Hollywood sign," Pepa added, noting that Smith was "very nice" on the date.

During the date, Smith said he was concerned about a possible run-in with Treach of Naughty by Nature, a New Jersey rapper that Pepa previously dated.

“So in my mind, when I was like, I was trying to spit my game, but I ain’t really had nothin’… ’cause my concern was that I was gon’ get killed,” Smith said. “That was a legit concern,” Salt added as the three erupted in laughter.
