Boston Firefighters Battle 8-Alarm Blaze In Brighton

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Firefighters in Boston battled a massive eight-alarm fire in Brighton Friday morning.

The fire started around 4:30 a.m. at a commercial building on Corey Road.

Thick black smoke from the fire filled the surrounding neighborhood. At one point, wind shifts caused the firefighters to deal with zero visibility.

The Boston Fire Department said one firefighter was hurt and was transported by Boston EMS.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
