As they say on the court, a Virginia State University (VSU) graduate student “got his ankles broken” while going up against the school’s president in a short game of one on one.
In a viral video shared to Twitter, Afolabi Oyenyin shows himself challenging random people to a quick game of basketball. The video shows the 24-year-old crossing over a security guard, as well as some classmates. He wins all of the match-ups, until he runs into VSU’s president, Dr. Makola Abdullah.
“I was walking around Virginia State & the President of the school just embarrassed me,” Oyeneyin wrote in the post.
Dr. Abdullah didn’t come to play either. The president steals the ball from Oyeneyin, bounces it off his head before crossing the grad student up in front of a small group of people who cheer on Dr. Abdullah.
“I’m not gonna lie, it took a lot for me to post this,” Oyeneyin also wrote in his tweet of the video. “He definitely got me tho,” the student admitted before promising a rematch soon to come.
Oyeneyin played basketball for the school, but that didn’t stop Dr. Abdullah from coaching his student. Dr. Abdullah has been the president of the school since 2016.
The clip has been seen over 5 million times and Dr. Abdullah even posted a comment on the post.
“You already know it’s all love. I can’t wait until everybody is back on campus,” he wrote.
The two took a picture together, each wearing face masks.
