An 11-year-old reporter from Las Vegas is going viral after he interviewed Super Bowl contenders ahead of Sunday's (February 11) game.
On Monday (February 5), star players from the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers fielded questions from the media on the Super Bowl's Opening Night.
One reporter representing the NFL Network, 11-year-old Jeremiah Fennell, captured the attention of social media users for his knowledge of the game and well-delivered questions.
In a clip posted on social media, Fennell had Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes build a fantasy team of current and former NFL players.
Fennell also interviewed Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who he asked "What are some of the funnest things you've done in Vegas so far?"
"Last year, we celebrated the Super Bowl win by going to the Wynn and going to Club XS. You can't go to that yet, but maybe one day," Kelce responded.
Before interviewing the players, Fennell discussed how he got his start in sports journalism at age seven with fellow NFL Network reporter Michael Robinson. Fennell explained that medical issues held him back from playing sports, but he still "liked the sports environment" and wanted to pursue a career in it.
Social media users were impressed with the 11-year-old reporter's journalistic skills.
"Sign this young man, now he is a generational talent," one X user said.
"I’ve worked with sports anchors in major markets who aren’t nearly this good," another user wrote.
"Can I buy stock in this kid?" a third person quipped.
