Soulja Boy Releases New 'Squid Game' Song

Soulja Boy lays out his own set of rules on his newly released song "Squid Game," named after the global hit Netflix series.

While Soulja isn't on the beat for this track, the "Crank Dat" rapper spits bars over the show's theme song and begins the song with the lyrics, "Red light, green light/You know that I came with my team right?"

For those who haven't taken up watching the show, the first of six do-or-die games is the childhood classic Red Light, Green Light, with a gruesome twist: any wrong movement will literally take you out of the game (and life).

On Big Draco's song, he continues with big talk about guns, "clear the whole scene, right/Up in that chop, n––a/Something don't seem right/Gang, gang, gang, gang/ 762 hit all in the membrane/ Get to poppin' sh–– like the Squid Game."

In the chorus, he uses another standout moment from the show –– the slap game potential players endure before they're offered a chance to play at the real games. "Slap a n––a like the Squid Game, Squid Game/We get to poppin' sh–– like, insane," Soulja raps.

Check out the song below.

The song dropped Thursday night (October 14), just a day after he released the music video for his song "I Pity The Fool" from his fourth full-length project of the year, Swag 4 which came out earlier last month.

2021 has been busy for the rapper releasing No Looking Back, Big Draco and Soulja World all this year
