This month, Nikki Sixx underwent hip replacement to correct the damage caused by decades of performing and now he's talking about how his recovery is going.
On his show Sixx Sense, Nikki explained how he felt needing a new hip was an "old person thing," but because of how active people are now, he realized plenty of 30 and 40 year olds are getting it.
He also spoke about the surgery itself, explaining how they played music of his choosing in the operating room as the anesthetics took hold and that he fell asleep to Black Sabbath's "War Pigs."
Because of "religious reasons," Nikki was able to take home the bone that the doctors removed from him, but it was "mush" after it disintegrated where they sawed it off.
Nikki has made a quick recovery and started walking the day of his surgery. Now that he has a piece of titanium in him, his friends are calling him "Bionic Sixx" and "Sixx 2.0"
The rocker recommends the surgery to anyone considering it and said he's feeling "a lot better" than he was before.
