On Thursday, November 30, Ed Sheeran released a remix of “Perfect” with none other than Beyoncé, sending fans into a frenzy.
While some felt the collab was super random, the Grammy winners have actually been friends for awhile now.
During an On Air With Ryan Seacrest interview in March 2014, Ed performed an acoustic version of Beyoncé’s ”Drunk in Love”. In February 2015, the pair united on stage at the Grammy’s during the Stevie Wonder tribute.
Ed’s also previously revealed that he hangs with Bey and her husband, JAY-Z. During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Ed revealed that after one of his shows at the Barclays Center he took Queen Bey and the rapper to a dive bar for shots and pizza (!!!).
Bey and Ed have also previously collaborated. At the Global Citizen Festival in September 2015, Beyoncé was joined on stage by Ed and the duo performed an acoustic version of "Drunk in Love.”
