Home Depot Aims To 'Reinvent' Black Friday 'Without The Stress And Crowds'

Home Depot announced they are attempting to reinvent Black Friday this year and will begin offering sales nearly a month early. Instead of offering just one day of deals on the Friday after Thanksgiving, the retailer will start discounting items in early November, and the sales will last into December.

The sales will be announced in the Home Depot app before they are posted in stores.

"For the first time ever, our Black Friday prices will be available throughout the holiday season. Savings will start in early November and last through December," the retailer wrote in a blog post. "Say goodbye to one day of frenzied shopping and enjoy Black Friday savings all season long without the stress and crowds."

The theme of this year's sale will be do-it-yourself. Home Depot is partnering with Pinterest to provide inspiration "on how to give meaningful, handmade gifts this season."

Home Depot will remain closed on Thanksgiving, as will a host of other retailers, including Walmart and Target.
