Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Endorses Joe Biden And Kamala Harris

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has publicly endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign for President. Johnson made the announcement on Sunday through social media.

"As a political independent and centrist for many years, I've voted for Democrats in the past and as well as Republican," he stated.

"In this critical election, I believe Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are the best to lead our country, and as my first ever (public) Presidential endorsement, I proudly endorse them for the presidential office of our United States."

Johnson's statement was coupled with a virtual conversation between Biden, Johnson and Sen. Kamala Harris. Harris mentioned that she is a "huge fan" of his movies and Johnson replied by calling her a "certified badass." He also mentioned that he felt Biden led with great compassion, heart and soul.

Sunday's announcement marked the first time Johnson had publicly endorsed a candidate. However, Johnson is no stranger to politics. In 2000, he appeared at the Republican National Convention. Earlier this year, there were rumors that he may possibly make a run for the White House. Newsweek went as far as to say that Johnson was the "most backed" potential candidate not named Donald Trump or Joe Biden. While Johnson has been successful in a variety of avenues, he does not have any experience in public office.
