Barack And Michelle Obama Speak At Obama Foundation Summit

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are the two most admired people in the world, according to YouGov's annual poll.

Barack Obama beat out Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates for the top spot. Gates sits at number two and Chinese President Xi Jinping took the third spot.

Michelle Obama earned the title of most admired woman for a second consecutive year. She beat out Angeline Jolie, who sits at number two ahead of Queen Elizabeth II.

The 2020 study was the largest that YouGov has conducted. This year, the poll included 45,000 participants in more than three dozen countries.

The Obamas have spent much of the year working in a variety of mediums. Michelle Obama won a Grammy Award for her memoir, Becoming. Footage from her nationwide book tour was put together for a Netflix documentary as well. Not to mention, she recently signed a podcast deal. Her husband has been equally busy delivering two commencement speeches and speaking at a funeral service for the late Rep. John Lewis. More recently, he has spent his time supporting Joe Biden's campaign for President. Together, the two continue to raise their two daughters, Sasha and Malia, as they pursue college degrees at the University of Michigan and Harvard University.
