Michelle Obama To Host Drive-In Voter Rally Ahead Of Senate Runoff Election

Michelle Obama's When We All Vote has partnered with The New Georgia Project to host a star-studded drive-in voter rally ahead of Senate runoff elections in the state of Georgia.

Partnering with BET and a number of other organizations, When We All Vote and the New Georgia Project hope the event will "inspire voters to make their voices heard again, encourage volunteers and shine a light on the work happening on the ground in the Peach State." Throughout the event, voters hear special messages from Obama, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, Chris Paul and many others. Also, Jack Harlow, Monica, Rick Ross, DJ Drama and Pastor Troy will perform.

“Through the drive-in concert and early voting and Election Day activations across the state, Celebrate Georgia! will remind voters of their power, inspire voters to make their voices heard again, encourage volunteers and shine a light on the work happening on the ground in the Peach State,” When We All Vote and The New Georgia Project stated.

The rally will take place on January 3 at the Cellairis Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Voters will have until January 5 to cast their ballot. Raphael Warnock will square off with Sen. Kelly Loeffler while Jon Ossoff will face off with Sen. David Perdue. The results of these runoff elections will likely determine the balance of power of the U.S. Senate and sway the direction of the incoming Biden administration.
