Quavo To Star Alongside Robert DeNiro In The 'Wash Me In The River' Film

Quavo has taken the next step in his acting career. The Atlanta superstar has landed his first major acting role in a feature film. Quavo is set to star alongside Robert DeNiro, John Malkovich and Jack Huston in the upcoming film, Wash Me In The River. He will play the role of a heartless drug lord named Coyote. The film will follow the story of a recovering opioid addict looking to seek revenge on the dealer responsible for his significant other's death.

“I honestly think this movie is going to be one of the greatest to come of this time,” Quavo said.

“The experience was unbelievable for me, with Robert DeNiro and Jack Huston being so down to earth and making me feel like family. Gonna see me doing some stunts and a lot of what you hear from me in my raps! This is one of my biggest debuts I’ve ever had, and so proud of what we did and to get to work with Randall who’s such an amazing guy — I can’t wait to do more films with him”

Prior to landing a role in Wash Me In The River, he appeared in the Black-ish and Star. Alongside Offset and Takeoff, he also played a role in Netflix's Narcos franchise.

Quavo is the latest member of Quality Control to earn a role in a feature film. Last month, Cardi B earned the leading role in an upcoming film called Assisted Living. She will play the role of Amber, a petty criminal who finds herself involved in a failed jewelry heist. While on the run from the police, she disguises herself as an elderly woman living in a nursing facility with her estranged grandmother.

At this time, it is unclear when Wash Me In The River or Assisted Living will hit theaters.
