Securing The Bag: Naomi Osaka Becomes Youngest Investor For Sweetgreen

Naomi Osaka is not slowing down anytime soon. Earlier this week, she announced that she would be expanding her philanthropic relationship with Nike. Now, she's stepping into a new role with one of her favorite restaurants, Sweetgreen. In a recent Instagram Post, the tennis champion announced that she was coming as the company's youngest investor and newest brand ambassador. With this partnership, the duo hopes to “shift the paradigm of food sponsorship and create a more positive impact on really how the next generation thinks about healthy eating."

“I’m proud to join forces with Sweetgreen to change the way the world thinks of traditional fast-food sponsorships. As an athlete, what I put into my body directly correlates to how I perform and eating delicious, healthy foods fuels my daily routine. I’m excited about the work we’re doing together to create a positive impact," Osaka said.

Osaka did not stop there. She also locked in a deal with Frankies Bikinis and launched her own swimwear line. In the future, the entrepreneur hopes to create her own clothing brand in the future.

"I'd like to start my own brand one day, probably together with my sister, but for now I'm loving 'collab'ing' with some great designers and learning the craft and the business," she told PEOPLE prior to her latest clothing brand deal.

"I'm working on a few more collaborations that will come out in 2021. I can't say exactly what yet, but I'm super excited. Watch this space."

Osaka is not the only one in her household making major announcements. In the midst of her string of announcements, her boyfriend, Cordae, announced the title of his sophomore album. In a short tweet, he told fans that his next album would be called From A Bird's Eye View. The title would explain why the cover art for his most recent singles was shot from a bird's eye view.
