It's that time of year again!
Former President Barack Obama has released his annual summer playlist, featuring his favorite tracks of the last 12 months.
“With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer,” 44 tweeted on Saturday (July 10). “Here’s a playlist of songs I’ve been listening to lately—it’s a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between.”
As in years past, Obama's 2021 summer playlist features everything from hip hop and R&B to pop and rock with tracks from Lil Baby, Drake, H.E.R. Jay-Z, Jazmine Sullivan, Migos, SZA, Rihanna, Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan, and more.
Jazmine celebrated the inclusion of her track "Pick Up Your Feelings" on the playlist via Twitter on Saturday.
"Y’all," she tweeted alongside a crying face emoji. "Thank you @BarackObama." H.E.R also reacted to Obama's addition of her Lil Baby collab, "Find A Way," on her Instagram Story, sharing a video of her smiling from ear to ear.
Cardi B even got in on the celebration, congratulating her husband Offset for Migos for being included on the playlist. "I can really imagine Barack taking important calls like “ ain’t nothin but alil bit of straightenin” 😩 Congrsts boys @Migos," she wrote.
