After purchasing a billboard nearly two years ago to get TV and film powerhouse Tyler Perry’s attention, the stunt seems to have paid off for this budding actress.
Racquel Palmer shared with TMZ that she went from putting up a billboard off an Atlanta highway calling for Perry’s attention to now being a leading role in his upcoming show All The Queen’s Men.
But, Palmer says the two never talked about the billboard incident and carried on like it didn’t happen at all. The actress also shared she doesn’t recommend pulling anything similar to get your foot in the door.
You might remember, Palmer put up the billboard in 2019. Perry seemingly called her out for the tactic, taking to Instagram, begging people to stop buying billboard space to get his attention –– Palmer wasn’t the first.
“PLEASE STOP! To audition is FREE!! I’m sure you can use that money for a better purpose,” Perry wrote in a long caption under a photo of Palmer’s billboard at the time.
The actress revealed to TMZ that when she looks back on the billboard now, the stunt was more about showing her children how to never give up on your dreams and to persevere.
