Recently we’ve learned some celebrities don’t shower everyday, while others take a different approach.
Over the weekend, unprovoked, celebrity couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis sparked online banter after sharing they don’t bathe their kids everyday.
“If you can see the dirt on them, clean them,” Kutcher said. “Otherwise, there’s no point.” Actress Kristen Bell agreed and admitted she doesn’t bathe her kids frequently either –– which some people including Jemele Hill and Joy Ann Reid have pointed out is white privilege.
Jake Gyllenhaal joined the conversation, stating that he finds it unnecessary to bathe himself too often, either.
While all this was happening, Jungle Cruise actor Dwayne Johnson posted his shower (and workout) schedule, after a fan said they wondered if he was among the less-frequent showering celebrities.
“Nope, I’m the opposite of a ‘not washing themselves’ celeb,” the actor wrote.
Someone responded in a now-viral tweet, questioning if Jonson’s routine was too much.
“This is … weirder than not showering?” the tweet reads. Johnson replied back, setting the record straight.
“Nothing weird about this, my friend,” Johnson said, explaining, “I workout twice a day and then I go to work for 12+ hours. I shower 3xs. Easy to understand,” he added.
It's safe to say we can’t smell what The Rock is cooking with that shower schedule.
