Another day, another audacious "Karen." This time, a Black woman received unprovoked harassment over outdoor home decor.
TikToker Ambrosia, a Black woman, says she was banned from the platform after posting an encounter with her white neighbor who wanted her to take down a Tigger flag outside her own home. The flag has the popular children’s character picking a flower on a blue background.
Ambrosia posted security camera footage which shows her neighbor telling her she didn’t like the flag and wanted Ambrosia to take it down.
“I want to talk about this Tigger flag,” the white woman said, as reported by The Sun. “I don’t like it.” The woman was sure to point out how the American flag was hanging “real nice” next to the Tigger flag.
As with most of the “Karen” encounters, the white woman started citing “rules” of the neighborhood while harassing Ambrosia.
“And we have rules,” the woman said in the video. “I don’t want to have to find out what they are, but I don’t like that.”
Ambrosia pointed out to the woman that the neighborhood doesn’t have a homeowner’s association.
“I’m just saying I don’t like it. It makes it look tacky –– it makes the neighborhood look tacky,” the white woman said.
“It doesn’t [look tacky], but that’s okay,” Ambrosia replied. “You’re allowed your opinion.”
The white woman left to “find out” the rules she tried to cite. TikTok users applauded Ambrosia for keeping her cool during the incident.
“What’s tacky is walking up to someone’s house just to tell them what you don’t like about it,” one person commented on the video.
“You handled that so well. She was looking for an argument and you ruined her day by not giving it to her,” another person added.
