Instagram influencer Jenae Gagnier and a man by the name of Kevin Alexander Accorto were found dead in a Richmond, Texas apartment on Sunday. NBC News reports that local authorities found the two adults in the apartment while conducting a welfare check earlier that day. According to KPRC in Houston, the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that Gagnier died of strangulation and a traumatic concussion. In contrast, the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Accorto died of "suicide by multiple sharp force trauma." Police have not found a connection between Accorto and Gagnier yet.

Gagnier, better known as Mercedes Morr, was a popular figure on Instagram with nearly 3 million followers. Platinum-selling artist Shad "Bow Wow" Moss and iHeartRadio Music Award nominee Kristopher "K Camp" Campbell were among the thousands of people who sent their prayers to Gagnier's family after learning of her death.

“Yesterday was the worst day of my life. My heart is gone. My soul is gone. [Mom and I] talked to you on Thursday to check on you and per usual, you were having an amazing time. We talk every day. I’m so happy we said we loved you. I’m so happy I got to see your face one last time. Jenae I’m f— sorry. I hate this for you,” Gagnier's sister, London, wrote on Instagram.

Morr's death has also shaken many of her neighbors, who now feel unsafe living in the apartment complex.

”What I thought was safe it seems is not. We have so many rules and so many guidelines I would never expect someone to breach our security and someone be murdered on this property," one of Gagnier's neighbors, Roderick Shaw, told NBC.

“We have the gates, the fence. You got to have a code to get in a code to get out. I’m just in shock," another nearby resident, Edna Twist, added.

Morr was 33 years old at the time she was killed. She leaves behind her sister, mother and several other loved ones. At this time, there is no word as to when a funeral service will be held. Moving forward, local authorities will continue to look into Gagnier's death in hopes of learning more about how Accorto came in contact with her.
