Over Labor Day weekend, things got a bit heated at a Waffle House on Buford Highway near Atlanta, Georgia. As shown in a 39-second clip from ATL Uncensored, a man in a red shirt appears to be embroiled in a heated argument with two young women. Nearly 25 seconds through the clip, a Waffle House employee appears to intervene and escort the man out of the restaurant. On their way out of the restaurant, the Waffle House employee is holding the man by his shirt collar and the man responds by throwing a punch. In response, the Waffle House employee appears to land five right-handed shots in a row. Midway through the fight, the video cuts out and it is unclear what happens next.

Video of the Waffle House brawl has been viewed more than three million times and retweeted more than 10,000 times. As the video made its way around Twitter, a number of people chimed in with their post-fight analysis and jokes.

"'Punching In' at Waffle House is exactly what it says," FOX 11 Chief Meteorologist Patrick Powell tweeted.

"Don't ever fight the overnight cook at waffle house," Allan Bell of CBS Sportsline added.

Waffle House has not offered a public comment on the matter, but this is far from the first time that a fight at a chain location has made its way to social media. Just last month, a TikTok user by the name of Brooke Wiser captured a woman throwing things at a Waffle House cook. Fortunately, the altercation remained verbal and did not become physical.

Another video posted to Twitter in September 2020 showed a group of people fighting Waffle House employees over what appears to be a cell phone. Much like the video shown above, each of these recordings earned more than one million views on social media. In each instance, it doesn't appear that anyone was seriously injured.
