The end of the year brings out the spirit of giving and this year is no different. Many of the organizations who work around the calendar to give back to communities are opening up to receive annual donations.
Black people’s disproportionate burden of the Covid-19 pandemic reached every aspect of our lives, creating increased demand for resources and help overall.
Last holiday season, food banks across the nation saw an increased demand as food insecurity grew, particularly among Black households with children. Unemployment placed families and communities in the throes of a housing crisis after the federal rent moratorium ended.
