New video has emerged of former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III's reaction immediately after he was involved in a car crash that reportedly killed a woman by the name of Tina Tintor. The short clip obtained by TMZ Sports appears to show the NFL wide receiver in the arms of a woman by the name of Kiara Washington, who the outlet says is his girlfriend. Washington attempts to comfort him, but Ruggs III appears to be inconsolable.
"OK. OK, here. I'm sorry. I'm sorry," Washington says as she holds Ruggs III's face.
"F---! Stop yelling," Ruggs III says later on.
As the video develops, a witness appears to arrive on the scene and point out Ruggs III. The bystander identifies him by name and states that he "plays for the Raiders."
"That's Henry Ruggs right here. That's Henry Ruggs right here. He plays for the Raiders," the unidentified person states.
Video of Henry Ruggs III being consoled by Kiara Washington comes less than 72 hours after the NFL wide receiver was involved in a car crash in Las Vegas. According to multiple reports, Ruggs III was allegedly driving at 156 miles per hour with a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit when his Chevrolet Corvette collided with Totor's Toyota Rav4. Ruggs III and Washington reportedly sustained visible injuries while Totor was pronounced dead not long thereafter.
"[Officers] responded to a traffic collision near the intersection of South Rainbow Boulevard and South Spring Valley Parkway, involving a Chevrolet Corvette and a Toyota Rav4. Responding officers located the Toyota on fire. Fire department personnel responded and located a deceased victim inside the Toyota. The preliminary investigation indicates the front of the Chevrolet collided with the rear of the Toyota," a statement from the Las Vegas Police Department reads.
"The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 22-year-old Henry Rugs (sic) III, remained on scene and showed signs of impairment. He was transported to UMC hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Ruggs will be charged with DUI resulting in death. This is an on-going investigation."
Ruggs III has been charged with felony DUI resulting in death. He faces up to 20 years in prison with a fine of up to $5,000.
