Colin Kaepernick showed his Twitter followers Thursday (March 10) that he's "still working" and, as one source told sports journalist Adam Schefter, is "ready to play.

Kaepernick hasn't played professional football for the NFL since March 2017 after becoming a free agent when he didn't renew his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. The move came after his kneeling protest during the national anthem at games to bring awareness to police brutality and racial injustice.

Since then, he's worked with Nike, developed a Netflix show on his life, written children's books, and operated civil rights learning opportunities for youth across the country.

As this latest Twitter post shows, the 34-year-old hasn't stopped working out and is "in the best shape of his life."

The source told Schefter that Kaep would be "a great fit for teams with QB vacancies to fill who want to win a Super Bowl."
