Ted Cruz Went After Mr. T And Twitter Isn't Having It

Twitter reacted Wednesday night (April 6) after infamous Texas Sen. Ted Cruz came after actor Mr. T.

The online showdown kicked off after Twitter users applauded The A-Team icon for getting a second dose of the Covid-19 booster vaccine. That's when the federal lawmaker added an opinion that no one asked for, calling the actor's decision to continue to mask up and social distance "bizarre."

"I just received my 2nd Moderna booster vaccine, and I feel good! I am still going to wear my mask and keep my distance because the virus ain’t over, Fool! Grrr" the Rocky III actor tweeted.

Cruz attempted to turn the 69-year-old's tweet into an attack on celebrities. "Bizarre. 535 Members of Congress can attend the State of the Union without wearing masks, but it’s still not good enough for Hollywood."

But, Twitter just wants to know what happened to the "freedom of choice" Cruz and other conservatives want when it comes to masking and vaccines (but not other medical decisions like abortion).

There's been whole rallies with signs that read, "My Body, My Choice," after vaccine mandates went into effect. Twitter called out the hypocrisy in Cruz's comment on Mr. T's personal decision.
