The Memphis Police Department is asking for help in its search for missing 16-year-old Rendarius Ivery.

The teen is described as being five feet five inches tall and was last seen Friday (May 6) wearing either a black or gray hoodie and blue jeans near the 3300 block of Perkins Road, a Facebook post from the Police Department says.

A City Watch alert was issued Sunday (May 8) and says Ivery has brown eyes, weighs 200 pounds, and has black hair styled in a low fade haircut.

Law enforcement officials advised that Ivery has been diagnosed with a mental health condition and has not taken his medication. If Ivery is located, police say that he may be taken to a local mental health facility to be evaluated.

According to the Facebook post, Ivery left home without permission after getting into trouble and has not returned since.

Anyone with information on Ivery's whereabouts is asked to contact the Memphis Police Department's Missing Persons Bureau at (901) 636-4479.
