Colin Kaepernick reportedly has some good news amid his campaign to make an NFL comeback.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback landed a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders this week, and according to sportswriter Ian Rapoport, it "went well."

"On Colin Kaepernick’s workout with the #Raiders: Sounds like it went well and he impressed," Rapoport tweeted Thursday (May 26). "The door is open…," the tweet continued.

The news comes following the 34-year-old's pitch to make a return to the NFL after nearly five years out of the league. Earlier this year, sources close to Kaepernick said he was "in the best shape" ever.

Kaepernick was also spotted at a workout with the University of Michigan football team earlier this year and has had workouts with the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons since his 2017 NFL exit.

He's been busy since leaving the league amid his kneeling protest against racial inequity, promoting civil rights and social justice activism. He also developed a Netflix series about his life and has a project in the works with Spike Lee.
