T.J. Holmes' estranged wife has released her first public comments since news broke of the Good Morning America host's alleged affair with coworker Amy Robach.

Marilee Fiebig released a statement amid Holmes' romance with Robach via her attorney, Stephanie Lehman, on Wednesday (January 4).

“During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter [Sabine],” Lehman told the Daily Mail.

Fiebig's first public statement comes after Holmes filed for divorce last week to end their 12-year marriage. Lehman said she's been working to “move [Fiebig and Holmes’] divorce forward privately, expeditiously, and as amicably as possible.”

“Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J.’s lack of discretion, respect, and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter,” Lehman continued on behalf of Fiebig.

The alleged affair began to unfold publicly in November after pictures surfaced of Holmes and Robach cozied up in New York City. Sources confirmed that the pair had been in a romantic relationship for weeks after splitting from their spouses, per TMZ. Holmes and Robach continued their on-air gig with GMA3 for several days before they were pulled from the show while ABC reportedly conducts a review into their relationship.

Holmes and Fiebig got married in March 2010 and expanded their family in 2013, welcoming a baby girl. But his romance with Robach seems to still be going strong as the two hosts were spotted traveling together over the holiday weekend, TMZ previously reported.

In Wednesday's statement, Lehman noted that Fiebig “has been touched by the outpouring of support” since the alleged affair first made headlines in November and “looks forward to a new beginning in this new year.”
