Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and ex-CNN anchor Don Lemon have retained the same lawyer after they were ousted from their respective networks.

According to reports, both Carlson and Lemon hired Los Angeles attorney Bryan Freedman amid their exits from Fox News and CBS.

Freedman is famously known as an "aggressive litigator" who's successfully navigated through other media departures including Megyn Kelly's 2019 exit from NBC News and Chris Harrison's 2021 exit from The Bachelor, per the Daily Beast. He is currently representing Chris Cuomo in his wrongful termination lawsuit against CNN.

Carlson and Lemon are reportedly lawyering up after their respective networks announced on Monday (April 24) that they were parting ways with the longtime media personalities.

“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” Fox News said of Carlson in a statement on Monday.

Less than hours after Fox News' announcement, Lemon tweeted that he had been fired by CNN after 17 years with the network.

"I am stunned," Lemon wrote Monday. "After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly."

The longtime CNN anchor added in his statement that he was never "given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network.”

CNN said Monday that it had "parted ways" with Lemon, but called his version of events "inaccurate."

"Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate. He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter."

Freedman has yet to publicly comment on representing the two media personalities.
