Residents in several Kentucky neighborhoods have reported seeing fliers that are seemingly trying to recruit members to a local Ku Klux Klan branch.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Mt. Sterling police officials confirmed that KKK flyers were left on vehicles over the weekend. Flyers were also found in a Holly Hills subdivision and along Pines on Main.

One of the reported flyers from the Trinity White Knights branch of the KKK asked parents to join the hate group to "Bring God back in our schools" and "End all forms of CRT."

"Demolish the idea [of] turning our young men into queers," the flyer continued. "Parents take control of our schools. Remove all filth from school libraries. Two gender policies. End the presence of men in the girls’ room. ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Parents, take your stand. Join the Klan.”

A second flyer reportedly circulating around the Kentucky town reads: “Neighborhood watch. YOU CAN SLEEP SOUND TONIGHT. THE KLAN IS AWAKE! Are you having problems in your neighborhood? Report crime and drug dealers.”

Police said they have launched an investigation into the incident.

“We have copies of the flyers, so feel free to throw yours in the trash, where they belong," the Mt. Sterling Police Department said. "The MSPD and city of Mt. Sterling does not tolerate any kind of hate or bigotry in our community.”
