Charlie Kirk: Michelle Obama Stole White Person's Slot To Get Into College

Conservative talk show host Charlie Kirk claimed former first lady Michelle Obama and other Black women had to "steal a white person's slot" to get into college.

According to HuffPost, Kirk made the comment on Thursday (July 13) while discussing the Supreme Court's decision to end affirmative action. Kirk ranted about challengers of the Supreme Court's ruling including Obama, MSNBC host Joy Reid, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who previously stated that although she was “a clear recipient of affirmative action, and particularly in higher education,” she graduated on her own merits.

“Three weeks ago, if we would’ve said that Joy Reid, and Michelle Obama, and Sheila Jackson Lee, and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would’ve been called the racist,” Kirk said Thursday. “But now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us. They’re coming out and they’re saying, ‘I’m only here because of affirmative action.’ Yeah, we know. You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously.”

“You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously,” the right-wing commentator added.

The Supreme Court's decision stemmed from cases against race-conscious admission policies at Harvard and the University of North Carolina. The nation's highest court ruled last month that the policies were unconstitutional, effectively bringing an end to affirmative action and impacting students of color across the country.

On Thursday, Kirk said of Jackson Lee's admission into college: “It’s very obvious to us that you were not smart enough to be able to get in on your own."
